Hi, I came across your comments above when researching labrynthitis/dizzyness. I was interested in your diagnosis of steroids in the lady’s body. Why would that have an effect on her balance? I’m a reflexologist and also use acupressure and wondered if I could treat myself. As yet i’ve no pain, no signs of inflammation but an annoying sense of floating on water or the ground bouncing beneath my feet when standing still. I did wonder whether to go to my osteopath as I am getting some grating when I move my head and wondered whether that was tipping the balance of my inner ear and required some repositioning? I am a great supporter of acupuncture for many treatments – i would however add a furthre note of caution – when treating high media cases such as influenza and children, despite effectiveness of acupuncture, there are no guarentees (for any medicine ) and in this day and age, as a profession, I think it best that we always refer to the mainstream medical establishment in these cases. We can still treat and help, but the risks to the profession and poor publicity does (sadly) affect all . . . .
